CAT3K_CAA_UNIVERSALK9-M upgrades

Hi there,

I have some Cat3k's to upgrade to cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.10a.SPA.bin

I am upgrading some from 03.06.04.E RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

and

16.12.5b, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)

is there a way I can do this without the switches auto reloading?

I am using this command when upgrading from 16.3.6, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)  and it works fine:-ndit works fine,

request platform software package install switch all file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.10a.SPA.bin new auto-copy

I am following this guide:-

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3850/software/release/16-3/release_notes/ol-16-3-3850.html#pgfId-1110759

But it seems that a reboot is automatically carried out when upgrading from those other two Images.

Anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the IOS and then I can set a reboot for a time that suites the business with a reload at x-y-z command?

Many thanks in advance

Matt

Nope.

Yes, use the "on-reboot" option.  NOTE:  The "on-reboot" is actually a bug (CSCve94966).  It is meant to be "no-reboot" and Cisco will not be fixing this bug because it is not a "recommended" method.
