Cİsco ASA Upgrading

Hello;

I want to Upgrade my Cisco ASA5516X Firepower (FMC)'s 6.2.2 to 6.4.0.9 version;

I want to ask:

Is this a risky process, if upgrade fails is my device or FMC software lost. Thanks...

We are not clear, is the ASA running FTD Code or ASA running with SFR Module?

Either case here is upgrade procedure :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/upgrade/asa-upgrade/planning.html

Notes :

1 read the release notes and understand the bugs

2. back up the config - out of the box

3. FMC needs to higher version always - so required first upgrade. ( check the compatibility matrix)

4. required maintenance window to reboot. after upgrade.

it should be equal or higher (not Lower) - Look at the Matrix to support FTD version.
