The link received by the employer shows downloading version 4.10.00093
I got a new laptop in Nov 2023 with Windows 11; at that time, I had no problems downloading the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client through the link from my employer.
On June 3, 2024, I went to log on and received an error. Having been dealing with various errors since joining their team in 2015, my first instinct is to shut down and restart. That did not work. Next, is to uninstall and then reinstall the VPN client. Which typically works.
However, this time, when attempting to reinstall the program, it will get partway through the installation and then said a problem with the window installer package, contact your support or package vendor.
I have had Microsoft remote into my system and confirm there is nothing on my end. I have had my personal IT rep remote into my system to confirm what Microsoft said.
Has anyone experienced this? I have been in a back-and-forth email battle with the employer and their IT department, stating that it is something on my end. However, based on everything I have found, it is the drivers on the download themselves fighting with Windows 11.
I can see a new version of the anyconnect was released on Feb 26, 24, but I can't access the download without an account. Please, any assistance is welcome, as I can't get them to even believe this is an issue. I'd like to get to my work. I have downloaded other programs since and have not had any problems.

Hello, @crutter5298
you’ve been thorough in your troubleshooting efforts. Here are a few additional steps you could consider:
Compatibility Mode: Try installing the VPN client in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows where it was working fine.
Windows Installer Troubleshooter: Run the Windows Installer Troubleshooter which can help fix problems that might prevent Windows programs from being installed.
Remember to run these installations as an administrator and keep your system backed up.
I hope this info is helpful to you.
Best Regard,
Gregory Chavez
