Has anyone ever done in in place upgrade on windows server running Cisco Unified Attendant Console Advanced.
Is it possible to do it for example upgrading the Win OS from server 2012 to server 2016. Does one need to re-install CUAC and MySQL again or will it work?
Reason for asking and not sure if we did something wrong, did an in place upgrade from server 2012 to server 2016 and when trying to login on https://localhost/webadmin we get the error "Unable to connect to the server.. Error Data : API_NOT_INITIALIZED" and from the log files it appear to have some sql login issue as well not find a path?

Hi Hermanus, did you find an answer? Is it possible to just upgrade Win 2012 to Win 2016 without having to upgrade or re-install CUAC?

Hi Richard Pierce,
Depends on the CUAC version you on, if it is 12.x not possible if 14.x there seems to be an OS upgrade path.
There is no Appendix B for upgrade with version 12.0.4. Which means, there is no document on server “in place” OS upgrade recommendations. It is best to go to version 14 with new build. https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucmac/cuaca/12_0_4/admin_guide/CUACA_AG_120402.pdf
