Cisco WLC release 8.5 support for 1550 Access Point with 32MB memory

I have 1552E AP running on Cisco WLC image 8.3.x. IOS of the APs are running on Version 15.3(3)JDA13.

We are planning to upgrade our WLC to 8.5 software.

It was noticed from the compatibility matrix for wireless that 1550 APs with 64MB are not supported with this image. I would like to know if the statement implies only to 64MB, or does that means 64MB or lower is not supported, and 128MB only is supported.

What if I upgrade the IOS for the APs itself?

Hello Owais,

1552 with lower than 128MB are not supported with the 8.4 and above versions. If you try to upgrade for the AP it will not join the controller.
