CML 2.5.1 Routers/Switches interfaces are always UP/UP

I'm a beginner in CML 2.5.1. I surprised when two interfaces between 2 devices remain UP/UP even there is no link or one side is shutdown. It costs $199 @-@@

I found some discussions about this issue but it seems like there is no plan to fix it.

Is my understanding correct?

Thanks

Yes, No wires, no link, no layer 1 in virtual lab.  this is fault of virtual images and virtual lab setup;  only layer 1 support you may have is inside of CCIE lab.

CML provides access to various images that other labs do not give u.

Its all depends on what device here - CML is Lab emulator / simulator (you can not get 100% like Physical device if you like to compare) - if you have more money good to invest and hardware and pay more bills for power usage.

CML mainly meant to create Lab as Proto and understand the concept (not 100% test Physical layers) - there are some device may have bugs, does not mean all the devices having same issue, not sure in your case what devices there are.

The price you paid was reasonable with Licenses that means you have right to use them legally with compliance.
