Have a 6300 that was zeroized and is at the "$$" prompt, looked online but cannot find the correct instructions to load an iOS image via either the USB OR via the serial cable.

Yes. ESR 6300

Quick answer since I was leaving the office - yes a ESR6300. From my understanding the "$$" prompt just means that you are in ROMMON and that flash is empty. I have to send the bin file through the console connection but spent a good amount of time looking for this online and just kept finding instructions for being at a "switch:" prompt. The command list I have seems shorter than the ROMMON command list (getting by typing ?).

I have never seen any router as per my experience $ (this only we see Linux shell)

$ what commands you can able to get here ?

Looks the prompt may be different but the commands are same :

$$dir  (check any boot files available in the flash)  and try boot

the document i have provided still works to boot from flash or if no image available you can also boot from different method like USB and TFTP.
