We bought a lot of AIR-DNA-E-3Y licenses a few years ago together with 9115 APs. We have never used Smart-licensing so the licenses has never been used. Now we bought two 9800 controllers and using 9172 APs, and have enabled Smart licensing on the controllers.

I can now see in the licensing portal that we are using one Cisco Wireless Essential license, but there is 0 available to use?

Aint these included in the AIR-DNA-E-3Y licenses?

Network License (Essential or Advantage)-  This is a perpetual license for base hardware and controller connectivity.
DNA License (Essential or Advantage): This subscription (3, 5, or 7 years) enables DNA Centre features.

As per your screenshot, it show number AP available to use, in use 0, which means your conntroller need to connect to smart License server to consume.,

@s.hellman - @balaji.bandi  has missed the fact that you are using WiFi 7 APs (9172) so the answer provided is wrong.

The WiFi 7 APs do not use DNA licenses at all. They use a new type of license (Networking Subscription):

So your DNA licenses are useless for 9172 APs - they can only be used for your 9115 APs.
You should have purchased the Networking Subscription licenses together with the 9172 APs?

Thank you Rich R, yes after much googeling I found that out. So our license partner are going to sort this.
