Question regarding C892FSP and Firmware

Hey All,

I recently purchased a C892FSP for a home lab and have found that the unit will only take the C800 Universal firmware (c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.158-3.M9.bin) and not the more specific C892 firmware (c890-universalk9-mz.159-3.M7.bin). Anyone know why this is? Curious what is happening here.

Cisco changes the IOS image structure long back.

Universal image works for all model in that series - so they should not do every model image, that will be time consume and also lot to maintain (as per i know)
