Smart Software Manager Cluster (HA) on Prem

Hi folks

We like to create a Smart Software Manager Cluster (HA). As far as I understand, we need 3 ip address.

For each server and for the "floating" one (this word is used by Cisco) between both servers.

My question now is, which ip will be used to connect to the Cisco Cloud? The "floating" one or the one who is configured on the servers?

Second question is about the registration for devices. Do we need to use the "floating" ip in the url or do you suggest to create DNS Alias fo that ip and this alias will be used for the URL?

Anyone of you has experience about SSL certificate for the Smart Software Manager on Prem?

Any suggestion or comments are very welcome. Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Pascal

virtual ip address is used as source to communicate to Cisco.com portal.

Device can use virtual ip address or DNS entry provided security field must have the same value which represent CN of certificate exchange between device and On-Prem server.

If you are changing entry in URL for device registration, then update security field and synchronise with cisco.com so that new certificate is updated with new CN field.
