Upgrade IP Base to IP service License on 3850

Hello everyone, 

i'm so confuse. i've read many document but always confused, need your help. i've two 3850 switch on stack and i need to use BGP when i look i've that i must upgrade ip base to ip service. i've receive pdf with information L-3850-RTU=. What's next setp? must generate file.lic ? if yes how ? then how to activate this license permanently .

what is the version of code running (show version help you)

First you need to check

1. what IOS you have in the device.. show version and dir will show you that inforation.

2. if you already have right ios image universal one

3. you can use below command right to use

# license right-to-use activate ipbase | ipservices evaluation <slot #> acceptEULA

about what's difference when you issu command bellow and use file .lic
