As per i know there is no such document available over cisco site.
but most of the release notes tell you the upgrade path, and minimum version required to moved to latest version.
If you can tell us what is the correct version and what version you like to upgrade, we can help you.
also tell us what nexus device you try to upgrade.

Nexus 5548UP (Release 7.3(5)N1(1) ) in general stable 5 start from Cisco recomend
here is release notes
To go to 7.3.5 you need to have 7.1(4)N1(1) - so check the release notes for upgrade paths.

@darkgc To expand on what @balaji.bandi we would need to know more information. Usually determining your upgrade path, is to determine the version of code you need. First decide on what features you need and research the stability of the version (e.g. PSIRTs, field notices, unresolved bugs that may impact you, etc). Once you have determined the code that best fits your needs you can determine if there is dependencies that need to be met. At any rate, if you have a Cisco SE on your account they should be able to advise you, as well as, your channel partner if you purchase from one. Although, TAC can not recommend code they can put you in the right direction as well. Another good resource I use the software research tool:
https://software.cisco.com/research/home
This is a great page with a bunch of tools you can use to look up PSIRTs, Bugs, Field Notices, EoX, etc.
