Upload license file using copy paste

I'm trying to upload a license file for my CSR1000v. we don't have tftp or ftp servers. TAC was doing a copy paste the license file through a putty session. please let me know what are the commands for that ? do we need to change the lic format ?

what is the OS version? new OS versions are only supports smart license

Version 16.5.2. We had the standard license expired recently and TAC provide a 30 day eval license. During the call, they did a copy paste through the putty session. Got new lic file and would like to do the same. Is it possible for end user or only TAC can do it ?
