Type-2 LSA propagation related query on a broadcast + P2P topology

When a topology is described as below:

R0----BROADCAST(AREA-0) -----R1----POINT2POINT(AREA-1) ----R2

As per OSPF protocol definitions:

1) Only on BROADCAST network DR/BDR elections happens

2) Here with attached CPT log , found that DR/BDR even happens at POINT2POINT ( May I know the reason please)

Referring to attachment: cisco_community_q1_p2.jpeg(Attachement)

When I try running the OSPF process with 2 different process ID on ABR  ( To differentiate BROADCAST + POINT2POINT segment : ABR is not allowing to form with 2 Different process ID)

Requirement:

Need the reason - WHY OSPF-Type2 LSA is seen on all ROUTERS

even with router belonging to   BROADCAST ( R0 & R1) segment as well as  POINT2POINT ( R1 & R2) segment are constructed as above.

As per defined OSPF protocol on Type-2 propagation: ( Reference taken from CISCO : Solved: OSPF point to point Router LSA - Cisco Community)

When OSPF is connected with a point-to-point (p2p) network type, Type 2 LSAs are not used. Instead, OSPF uses Type 1 LSAs (Router LSAs) to describe the point-to-point links between routers. In a point-to-point network, there is no need for a DR or BDR, and each router directly advertises its links to its neighbors using Type 1 LSAs

 Type 2 (Network LSA) is not generated on a point-to-point OSPF network. Instead, it is generated on multi-access networks such as Ethernet, where there is a need for a Designated Router (DR) to manage the network12.
In a point-to-point OSPF network, Type 1 (Router LSA) is used to describe the router’s links to oth er routers and networks3.

I am appearing for CCNA exam tomorrow - Kindly help to understand at earliest.

cannot see your pictures; too small; u can attach your PT file here but it must be in a zip format; But to answer ur questions;

Yes, DR/BDR elections happen on Broadcast networks and so called NBMA like DMVPN and old Frame Relay;

2) No, you should not have DR/BDR election or any indication on any POINT2POINT, aka p2p serial networks; If ur PT shows DR/BDR then it is wrong; after all PT is a just sim , not real IOS.

Note: u can see DR/BDR on p2p Ethernet networks since this type of network connection is designated as B-cast one; but not on serial links; u can change ospf network type point-to-point on all Ethernet links if u have direct p2p connection (or only 2 router via switch)
