Is it possible that when you add a shortcut that is a global setting tied to a login so that my other devices also have the same shortcuts?

Hi Scott,
Right now, shortcuts for RSS feeds, podcasts and discussions are stored on the individual device.
If we were to implement that feature, do you have a particular preference for how we merge shortcuts from a specific device to the cloud? I'm trying to think in general terms...
One thought... we could look to see if a device has any shortcuts. If it does, we could ask the user if they want to upload their shortcuts to the cloud. If the user says yes, we associate the shortcuts to their profile, store them in the cloud then delete the shortcuts from the device. From that point on, the device would check to see if that profile has any shortcuts, and if so, pull from the cloud.
If the user has a second device w/shortcuts, we could follow the same path where we would merge the shortcuts from the second device with what is already stored for that profile... in turn we would eliminate any duplicates.
Keep in mind... there is a downside to this approach: By having the shortcuts in the cloud, it's going to take some time to fetch the list as opposed to having it right there on the device.
Lastly... we are currently working on extending the Manage Cases capabilities - we will be including the ability to search for any support case opened against your support contracts. When you find a case of interest, you'll be able to add that case to a watchlist (essentially bookmarking it) for easy reference. This watchlist will be stored in the cloud - once you add a case to your watchlist from one device, you'll be able to access them on all your devices.

Dave

I wouldn't mind that it automatically adds or removes shortcuts depending if I add or remove a shortcut. This makes it easy I think. The main thing is that if I change to a new iPhone, I loose all my shortcuts which includes shortcuts on the Discussion and Communities also. The app is great and I hardly use the website now:)
Thanks,
Scott

One other nuance I forgot to mention... If we tied shortcuts to a particular profile, then users will have to login to the app to access their shortcuts. I certainly understand the use case... I just want to make sure all the pros/cons are fleshed out.
I'll be sure to forward your request to the communities team who I know are investigating this particular issue.

I understand. For me, I have 3 different devices with the app and I login using the same CCO account. So I don't see why it would be an issue though. If a person has multiple CCO accounts, I wouldn't expect that info to sync. I didn't know you could have more that one CCO account but I have never tried to add another one.
