It would be handy to have the ability to read and respond to PMs in the mobile app.

Shawn, Private Messaging & selective-group messaging are the 2 new features in works on Mobile as well as on support forums website.  I have made a note of your feedback and this certainly helps in priortizing this feature.

Thank you much,

Gayathri

Hi Lamanary Pina -

Yes, 'suggestion for you' is a feature that we are planning to introduce in our new feature release. We believe this will be an intuitive way to have our users quickly look into the latest discussions in the areas of their interest. Appreciate for sharing your thoughts in this.

Great feedback.

Thanks you!

Gayathri

The ability to see images and/or attachments to threads would be good to have.

Often looking on the app at a thread you can't see all the information provided and have to go to a web browser to see the other content.

Hi Wayne,

I wasn't sure if you were talking about all areas within the app that have attachments, or just the communities. If the former, we'll be releasing an updated version of our iOS app (v3.3 - Android and BlackBerry will follow next week) a little later today that may partially address some of your comments.

Version 3.3 will include:

  • Ability to view attachments to your support cases (Word, Excel, Power Point, PDFs, text and image files)
  • Ability to view related bug details associated with your support case
  • Support for broadcast/system notifications

If you have an iPad, you'll also see a navigation enhancement within the Support Cases area. Instead of upsizing the iPhone screens, we migrated to a split view navigation controller. All of the support case navigation will be handled in the left pane, while any case details, notes, rma details, etc will ve viewable on the right pane a case is selected.

With the Android and BlackBerry clients, we're also including higher resolution versions (adding hdpi and xhdpi) for all images within the app.

Regards,

Dave

Thanks for that. I saw the improvements in the new app this morning when it was released (only a few hours after my post).

It would be great to be able to view diagrams and attachments from the communities too. Especially when there's a diagram in a thread that is being discussed.

Wayne,

We do plan to address your request around attachments in our communities discussions from our app in our next major release.

Keep your feedback coming.

Thank you
