Hi

i just read about managing recording WebEx Network Recording Player Help

at the point 3 of notes, stated "You also can specify the Web address, or URL, at which the recording resides on a publicly accessible Web server, such as your organization's Web site".

Where can i set this up?

Hi,

I've looked at this page and it looks like this sentence refers to the line above:

  • If the recording is made from the integrated or standalone WebEx Recorder, you can upload the recording file, with a .wrf extension, from your local computer.
  • You also can specify the Web address, or URL, at which the recording resides on a publicly accessible Web server, such as your organization's Web site.

Local recordings (.WRF) can be placed on your own website.

The webex site is used to playback the file hosted on your own site. That's why you can specify the location of the recording file on your site and a URL is generated. This can be done here: Login to your site, click meeting center, click downloads, go to recording section, click the "recording and playback" page link and look at the section "Streaming Recordings on Your Web Site"

     your recording    http://www.customer.com/event.wrf

     your webex site  https://sitename.webex.com/

     Generated URL: https://sitename.webex.com/sitename/playback.php?FileName=http%3A//www.customer.com/event.wrf

So this does not apply to Network based recordings (NBR's) recorded in the cloud.

Cheers
