DNS Forwarding without using a VA in cisco Umbrella

Could you please tell me if I can configure Local DNS Forwarding to my local DNS server without using a VA ?

Hi,

If you are not using VA for local dns forwarding, then assign umbrella IP as your forwarder address in your DNS servers.

Without VA you cannot get the granular view of user traffic.

If you deploy the AnyConnect Umbrella Roaming Client (or the native Umbrella client software) you can get granular user data without a VA. Plus it works both on- and off-premise.
