Identity Cert attack

Does it pose any risk if our Personal(Identity) certificate was read by an attacker when  it's on the way from CA to our system?

Can he read ourcert and  impersonate us in any of his connections by using it?

Sorry for poor choice of words.

The cert itself does not contain a security risk as it was meant to be read by another party/client.

It only contains the public key of the CA.

A concern would be if someone had the private key off the CA, essentially bing able to sign cert requests.
