Umbrella Virtual Appliances Licensing

Hi everyone,

I have some questions regarding the Umbrella Virtual Appliance implementation.

I'm considering DNS Security Advantage licenses, in a deployment with Umbrella virtual appliance on the customer premises. Do these virtual appliances require a Cisco Umbrella license?

These virtual machines will be used for the integration of Cisco Umbrella with Active Directory and for the visualization of the IP addresses of the users.

There is no specific license to apply to the VAs, you just need to be be licensed for either DNS Security Essentials, DNS Security Advantage, Insights, or Platform. https://docs.umbrella.com/deployment-umbrella/docs/2-prerequisites-1
