Audio issues on webex and jabber mobile apps in Android

Hi
I am facing problems when using my Jabber and Webex mobile apps on my Nokia 6.1 phone. When I plug in my earphones or headset in the audio jack (regardless of the type and brand, tested several) or even a bluetooth device, audio volume is automatically decreased and it is inaudible. Adjusting volume to max levels does not solve the issue. Has anyone came accross similar type of issue and found a solution? Factory reset did not work, same issues continue. Other friends also have same problem.
