Hello,
I support a small research group that has an old Polycom VSX 7000 unit that we use to connect with a few other centers in the region. They recently requested to host a meeting between multiple groups. Knowing that the groups we normally connect with as well as other possible users may also be tied to these older Polycom systems, I'm trying to find a solution that is accessible. I know that some conferencing competitors like Blue Jeans provide the ability to have room systems call in via IP address, but it's very unclear if there is a way for Polycom units to attend Webex meetings. I've heard a bit that Telepresence may be a solution but it's a bit unclear to me. Any insight into Webex's compatibility would be appreciated. Thanks for the help!

Bump. This is 4 months old is no one monitoring this page/community?
Can traditional h.323/sip video end points (cisco/lifesize/polycom) join a WebEx meeting without any additional hardware?
Thanks

Hi Richard,
If you are looking for answers about WebEx SaaS integration with video end points, I would suggest reaching out to WebEx Support directly 1.866.229.3239. This community is for Cisco WebEx Meetings Server (on-premise) and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace products.
I know that Cisco Telepresense can integrate with WebEx SaaS (you can ask for details in Telepresence community), but as for other video end points, I don't know. WebEx meetings normally support web cam video, but for actual H.323/SIP video end points questions, it is better to reach out to WebEx Support directly as they are not observing this community.
I hope this will be of help.
