Cisco Virtualization Experience Media Engine

I'm a little confused....

I have Wyse Z50D thin terminals running SUSE Linux. We are running VMware view client on them to get a virtual Windows 8.1 Desktop.

On the Windows 8.1 Desktop we have Jabber.

Do I need to install Cisco Virtualization Experience Media Engine for Windows on the Windows 8.1 virtual image? Or do I need to install Cisco Virtualization Experience Media Engine for SUSE Linux on the underlying Linux OS?

If I'm reading it correctly, the media engine goes on the base Linux and the media engine utilities goes on the virtual desktop, installed before jabber.

Does that sound about right?
