When i check call report from CDR by phone numbers, Media Info for Orig Pkts Rcd and Dest Pkts Rcd is null null, But user reported they received call and answered and talked. Same numer reporting good amount of packets for other calls. What does null means here, if called number answers but not talked or not answer is that reocords the null?
I am really looking a documenatiaon to understand about this null value.
Thanks

I would say, there are different cases, e.g.. But I don't know, if there is a "complete" list, that show in which cases the value will be "null".
1) The call was not answered / connected.
2) The involved endpoints didn't transmit the call statistics.

Hi buddy, In the context of Call Detail Records (CDR), "null" values typically indicate that the system did not record any data for that particular field. When you see "null" for Media Info for Orig Pkts Rcd (Packets Received) and Dest Pkts Rcd (Destination Packets Received), it suggests that there was no data recorded for the received packets for either the originating or destination end of the call.
However, it's important to interpret this information cautiously. A "null" value doesn't necessarily mean that the call didn't happen or that there was no communication.
