Customised RingBack Tone in CUCM 11.5.1

Dear Forum,

 

I have a CUCM version 11.5.1 and would like to customize my Ring back tune.

Here is a scenario:

USER A Dials USER B Extension and USER A would like to hear a customized Ring back tune from While the call is ringing.

 

I Read everywhere and it seems not possible, I would like to know if there are any Third Party Software that might work with the CUCM to achieve this or even possible on the CUCM.

 

Any Ideas will really be appreciated.

I don't think that's possible without something in the middle which actually answers the calls, and plays the "ringtone" while at the same time placing the call to the called number, monitor the progress, and then join the call legs. A lot of work just to get you a different ringtone.

 

With CUCM there is no way to do that, as you've found out.

Dear Jamie, Thanks for your usual feedback. Can I have a documentation or Press Release from Cisco that states this clearly. I have a Client who i need to convince about this. I would appreciate if you can point me in the right direction. Regards

We document what you can configure and what's possible, not every single thing that the system cannot do.

If there's no documentation on how to configure what you want, that means it's not something you can configure.
