Does anybody know how much bandwidth Desktop sharing chews up across a WAN ? we are doing a POC on Jabber and are generally ok with it.
However, when we turn Desktop sharing with one remote jabber client the sharing of the desktop is choppy. The WAN link is not full at the time so I'm not thinking of even discussing QoS yet. ( even though my WAN does have appropriate QoS configured on it ). Adding another person on the webshare makes it even worse.
Not a wireshark guru, but from what I see , it can take up to 2.5Mbps to 7-8MBps. Does jabber even compress this type of video traffic ?
Thanks advance to all for listening.
