Disappearing status messages

We have recently updated our call manager and presence servers to 10.5 and started to use Jabber 11.0.1 and I have noticed that when ever anyone puts a Custom status message into jabber then logs off or shuts down their PC the status is quickly changed to off line.

Does anyone know of a way to keep the custom message displayed?

You can't we don't have sticky status, if they log-off, or shut down jabber, they'll show as offline, and that's the expected behavior. If they want to show an available, away, or DND status, the client needs to be up and running to do that. We have never had the behavior you're talking about.

Is that  a feature being considered in futre versions? So that if someone is out for 2 days everyone knows when to expect him back.
