Does Jabber for Windows 7 need CUP?

Hello,

I have configured Jabber for android as softphone on CUCM 8.6 successfully. Now, I am trying configure Jabber for Windows on my PC but Jabber ask me for CUPC or WebEx IP Address on login prompt.

Could I use Jabber for windows as a softphone without any Presence Server as Jabber for android? I have not reach any documentation confirming this point or maybe I am not understanding right.

No, J4W requires CUPS/IM&P and CUCM.

I did it connecting to webex with a company account and registering the CSF on J4W.
