Google Pixel and Pixel XL Compatibility?

I have some users who have LG G3 phones currently.  That model has issues staying connected all the time to wireless, so their Jabber client frequently goes offline.  I was going to upgrade their phones and they requested the Google Pixel.  That model is not on the officially supported list though.  Does anyone know if the Jabber client works fine on the Pixel or Pixel XL phones from Google?

I can't say if moving to the Pixel will fix their wireless connection, but I have been running Jabber 11.8 on my Pixel for more than a month or so with no problems.

Thanks.  The wireless problem is specific to the G3 from what I've read.  We have other users with LG G5, Samsung S6, and Nexus 6P with no problems.

Did you have to sideload the app or could you install it from the app store?

You bet. 

I haven't even rooted this thing yet. You should be able to find it on the Play Store.
