I recall in Jabber for Windows 10.5 that LDAP searches the Chat IM address is based on the msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress field. Am I correct?
What if LDAP doesn't have that attribute populated for a user? They should create/add msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress, correct?
Some users when searched via LDAP have the wrong Chat IM address showing in Jabber directory searches.

So the customer doesn't have the Lync schema extensions for msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress when looking in ADSI edit.
So absent that then it appears setting the proxyAddress with sip:username@presencedomain.net will work for LDAP searches.
I’m guessing adding a proxyAddress of sip:username@presencedomain.net is the workaround based on testing. Plus the proxyAddress has to be set for Outlook to work right with presence bubbles.
