Jabber 10.5 + Yosemite 10.10.1 = Problem?

Hi,

we have jabber 10.5 deployed enterprise wide on Windows and mac, and all seem to run fine.

Except this one user. He has Yosemite 10.10.1 with Jabber 10.5.

The user can login just fine, bu after that, most contacts show offline, and he cannot initiate chat with anyone.

The user has no phone or DN assigned to him in CUCM, and only uses a jabber client.

Is Jabber 10.5 compatible with yosemite 10.10.1?

Thanks!

Asif.

Hi Asif,

There is no such limitation on having jabber MAC on Yosmite 10.10.1. You can have a working user login to Yosmite 10.10.1 and check on this. Does connection status shows presence server connected?

Regards

HI Nagajothi,

Yes presence is connected. What is interesting is you cannot open any window for chat, by clicking on any contacts. nothing happens. and I get these two messages in Jabber logs:

ERROR [0xa0b091d4] [mmon-core/CSIXMPP/CSIXMPPClient.mm(1202)] [j4m] [userWithJID:]] - CSIXMPPClient: userWithJID: request for user with nil JID
WARN  [0xa0b091d4] [/Classes/ARXSpotlightMenuItemCell.m(217)] [j4m] [drawWithFrame:inView:]] - ARXSpotlightMenuItemCell: drawWithFrame: unexpected: mainLabelString was nil: representedDict = (null) (mi: <CSIMenuItem: 0x7f6f0160: '-----------'>)

It looks to me like it is an OS/module error. Does that make sense?

Asif.

Hi Asif,

Are you using jabber-config.xml file? <BDIPresenceDomain> is configured in it?
