Jabber for Windows 10.6.1 delete Chat History

Hi,

is there a way to delete chat history in Jabber for Windows 10.6.1? I know there is a workaround by logging out and clear jabber cache, but isn't there maybe an option to enable it in jabber-config.xml?

There is no way to store and delete, either you enable it, or not

Disable_IM_History

Specifies whether to retain chat history after participants close the chat window. Note    This parameter is not available for IM-only deployments. true — Do not retain chat history after participants close the chat window. false (default) — Retain chat history: After participants close the chat window. Until the participants sign out. If the participants re-open the chat window, the last 99 messages show. Message archiving should be disabled on the server.

Using 10.6.2; I don't see Disable_IM_History in any of these XML files at all, does it need to be added or am I missing something?

Doesn't Cisco see this as a pretty basic / important feature?  Tx.

The jabber documentation covers how to format jabber-config.xml and each of the parameters, there is no default .xml, you need to build it to your specific needs.
