Jabber for Windows not showing VoiceMail Tab nor phone Icons

Not applicable

Hello Everyone,

I've just downloaded and Installed Jabber fow Windows, but when i logg into the client, the fist thing I notice is that The VoiceMail tab is missing, and when I go to the Account Config window on the client, I can only configure the Telephony Account but the Voicemail Account is also mising

I also get an error CJ:1000:4 that says "A variety of required functions has not been provisioned" (Sorry if its not writen propperly my client is in spanish)

Also I dont get the phone Icons next to the contacs (the ones you click to call), I can make calls using the main search bar though, and can also use the Softphone mode

I'm using CUCM versio 8.6.1, CUPS verson 8.5.2 and CUC 8.6.1

I would really appreciate any help on this matter

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Do you have the Voicemail Server, Mailbox and Profile setup in CUPS?  I had the problem with the voicemail icon not showing up because I hadn't comfigured the Voicemail mailbox yet.  Also, the client needs to get registered to CUCM for the phone to show up.  At the bottom you should be able to choose between managing a deskphone or using the computer for calls.  This should get setup if you have the jabber-config.xml file loaded on CUCM.  Note you must restart TFTP after loading that file.

Thanks a lot jhitt,

Yes that seemed to be the problem, the profile was not created,

For the Voicemail, I've noticed that I hace to add the user mannualy, what are the parameters that i must imput in order for it to work? I read at the Admin Guide that I have to configure an mailstore server, is that really necesary? or is it enough with just the unity connection?

Also what credetials does the jabber needs for it to work?

Regards

I put the Unity Connection server as the Mailstore server - so my Connection box is listed both under the Voicemail server and the Mailstore server.  I pretty much followed the instructions at this web page to get everything to work:  http://wiklunds.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/setting-up-cisco-jabber-for-windows/

Yes, I found the same link earlier, It made everything works, thanks for the help!
