Jabber IM & Presence issue -

Hi All,

 

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a solution to a problem i am having.

We have a new deployment of CUCM 10.6 and IM&P 10.6.

 

Issue we have is with IM and presence with in Jabber, both don't work.

 

Brief description of environment, configuration. and some facts.

 - CUCM is AD integrated, user ID is the employeeNumber for example "01234"

 - In CUCM users can log-in with with users ID "01234" and AD passwords

- Users can log-in to jabber 10.6.1 with user ID "01234" and AD passwords

- IM&P server IM Address  is configured to Use Directory URI

- Users can control desk phone and are able to make internal and external calls.

- Users are able to search and add contacts to Jabber.

- Users are NOT able to IM and see presence status of other users.

- There is a Jabber-config.xml file with basic information and configured to use EDI for directory service.

 

When users search and add contacts and view the contact profile the IM addresses shows as "sAMAccountName@domain.com"

On the IM&P server the IM address is "FirstName.LastName@domain.com"

 

Is there any special configuration i need to do in IM&P or jabber-config.xml file in order the IM Address to match the Directory URI?
