Jabber messaging in web browser?

With all the remote working, I'm often in a situation where I don't have access to my company-issued laptop but instead rely on cloud-based solutions that give me access to the services we use (e.g. Microsoft Outlook 365, Webex). I have Jabber on my mobile device, but it would be much more convenient and efficient if I could have it running in a web browser (even if just for messaging) on whatever system I happen to be using.

There's an enhancement request for that which is still new (the bug search tool seems to be down right now, so the link might not open):

CSCvo29811
Jabber Access via Web Browser

It's basically what you're asking, use Jabber via a browser with no client installed.

You can reach out to IT and discuss this, and then they can take it up to their Cisco SE/AM with a business case so it can be presented to the BU.
