Jabber Status Question

Hello,

I'm looking to adjust one of my Jabber settings that appears to be different than those of my colleagues. When I lock my computer and walk away, my status changes to 'away', which is fine, but after a few minutes, I'm no longer visible to others whereas some of my colleagues can do this and show as 'away' for weeks at a time. Is this something that I, as an end user with no admin privileges, can change either in my Jabber settings or on my computer? We all have laptops, so my guess is that it's a power management setting. Thanks.

As long as your laptop has power and connectivity Jabber should be registered to CUCM/IM&P and your peers should see your status. If your power settings shut down the laptop, processes, your NIC/WLAN, etc. that might explain the behavior, I suggest you reach out to your local IT for this.
