Hi Team,
I want o understand when we login to call manager .Does the Call manager contacts Ldap server to authenticate the password or it has the password cached .
Aslo when we use any endpoint to login to a device like Hardphone or Jabber does it autehticates the password from Ldap server or cached password on CUCM .
Another query is that the username authentocation is based on USERID can that be changed to email id .

CUCM uses simple BIND, if you're using security with your directory, then the request will also be encrypted.
The options for userID mapping are in your CUCM in a drop-down in the LDAP configuration.
