Hi,

Some users complained when they press the '#' to enter the meeting and the MeetingPlace server would count two times of '##', so the users were fail to enter the meeting. Some users would not know their pressed <MeetingID + ##> and the <##> let those users to wait on timeout.

Any related why pressed one time '#' and the MeetingPlace counted as two times '##'? The users pressed too long time on '#' key? Any methods to modify the MeetingPlace caller input? Related on the DTMF signaling?

Hi Chi Fai,

What version of MeetingPlace are you using?

MP8.6 supports Out of band (KPML) and RFC2833 for DTMF. If MP is detecting duplicate DTMF inputs it is possible that device where the call is coming from (e.g Voice GW) is sending both types of DTMF.

If the issue is reproducible, setup packet captures on the switchport connecting to MeetingPlace Application server.

Once you reproduce the issue, collect the packet captures as well as MeetingPlace System information capture logs.

In packet captures you can search for the RTCP messages for DTMF input and you can check SIP logs (CCASIP for Express media server, or SIPB2BUA for Hardware media server) for any KPMP SIP Notify messages for DTMF input. If you see both, that means that the sending device is introducing this issue.

If you need help with log and packet capture analysis, I advise you open a TAC ticket as it is not easy to do that via the forum.

I hope this helps.
