I've been chasing my tail for a while now trying to get SIP URI dialling from the Windows Jabber client to work. Just wanted to confirm that what I'm trying to do isn't a pipe dream.
I have a client that wants to be able to dial from the Jabber client (9.2) using SIP URI addresses. I have configured Call Manager (9.1) as per the System Guide, assigned a directory URI to a user, assigned a phone and primary number etc, but for the life of me I can't make a call using the SIP URI. When I try to from Jabber I just get a message saying "no results found", like it's trying to find an IM account instead of making an outbound call. I've also tried using third party SIP softphones and have had some success making calls betweent them, but not to or from Jabber.
I haven't found any documentation for config requirements on the Jabber / IM & Presence side. Am I missing something?
