When I click on links to join meetings, I am typically shown a webpage that allows me to click a link to "Join by browser". I prefer to join all meetings using the web app. However, I have noticed that after using WebEx Productivity Tools (version 33.0.2.69) to facilitate adding WebEx meetings to calendar invites in Outlook 2016, WebEx links automatically open the Meeting Center (Cisco WebEx Meeting Center WBS32 Version 32.15.0.27) desktop app. I am using macOS 10.13.6 and my organization installs Cisco WebEx Extension (version 1.3.0) for Google Chrome by policy, so I cannot remove or disable it. Google Chrome is my default web browser. This also happens when I open any WebEx links that I created. Based on the URLs, I can't see anything that would cause this difference in behavior. I want to join all WebEx meetings using the web app. How can I accomplish this? Is there a daemon that I can terminate or some other workaround? The only thing that I have been able to do to revert to the desired behavior is to restart my Mac and ensure that WebEx Productivity Tools do not Open at Login. Thanks for your feedback.
