But, you'll have to purchase the alphanum grammar from Nuance or someone, it's not an easy for the recognizer to get it right.

Alphanumeric speech collection is one of the most difficult for a recognizer to get right. Many of the letters sound alike (example, A, E, C, B, D, G). It helps if you know the number of characters/digits and if you know which positions are numbers vs. which are letters. Also if any of the positions are constrained (like position one is A thru E, position 2 is a digit, etc).

If you have an example that I could look at it would help alot. We will probably procure the services of Nuance in the end but if I can get by with an example I may be ok.
