Trying to configure a hotlink at the beginning of a call flow and have a few questions;

a. I am unable to connect a line to it.

I am able to select the goto exit path however.

b. Configuration

I am trying to configure it to capture a "0" anywhere in the Self Service Application. I assume I just select DTMF and enter the value "0" in the box next to it (no label above box in the config). Do I need to conifgure it to throw an event (thought that was mostly for speech here) or can I just connect the goto path to a subdialogue return node?

Thanks in advance for the help

Hi Jeff,

Hotlinks have application scope and take control of the call flow when they recognize a particular input that they are listening for. Therefore, they do not need control to be given to them by another element.

Yes, you configured the Hotlink correctly by specifying an inline DTMF grammar. In your case, entry of DTMF-0 during the call will trigger your Hotlink. I do not recommend throwing an event with the Hotlink unless you have a specific reason to do so. If you would like the Hotlink to call the subdialog return when it recognizes DTMF-0, then you can connect its "goto" exit state to the subdialog return element.

Vance
