Hi All,

We are trying to integrate IVR with Voice Biometrics. Did anyone work on this kind of deployment earlier. If so, request you to please let me know the steps of integration.

Hi
I have integrated Voice Biometrics (Nuance) with DD but as it comes as a WebService to the IVR so there should not be any dependency from the platform end.
So is this related to Nuance Voice Biometrics or something different?
Even if its some other providers you need to install the Voice Biometric in one of the server which will host a WebService and the IVR will consume the WebService via different methods. But you must invoke them in a specific sequence with the correct parameters.
Let me know if its Nuance i can elaborate on the same.

Adding to hemal,

It depends on your POC as well as there are different providers out in the market with different Models [text based , text independent]
Not sure if there are any free voice biometrics available out there but there might be some providers who will provide an evaluation period or just to try it out.
probabaly you can use them for your POC you can check the below link it might help you to give you a brief

http://voxeo.com/glossary/what-is-voice-biometrics/
http://www.nuance.com/for-business/by-solution/customer-service-solutions/solutions-services/inbound-solutions/voice-authentication-biometrics/index.htm

How it all works

Below is a genral flow as to how it all works.
StartSession : This will start a session [which will be per call basis] which should return you a session id based on this session id you need to invoke other methods so that it will be same to a particular caller
Enroll : Every caller should enroll him/her self so that the system will have their voice samples ready when they go for verification or call in the next time. This process might be repeat thill the caller is enrolled [Probably the system might require multiple voice samples to enroll a caller for better/precise authentication
Verify : The caller would be verified here as he would be aksed to repeat a phrase [text dependent] and will return a specific response.
End Session: ends the particular session of the caller.

Note : In Enroll and Verify the process will happen on the basis of a Unique Id [unique to the caller say his Account/SSN no ]

Look for Mistral open source biometric platform.  I can literally tell you that, it will not be be anywhere robust or secure.  It  will most likely not even work with CVP if that is the IVR you are using.  Speech recognition/biometrics  is a very niche and proprietary field and not many cos can come close to Nuance.  It is best you get a trial from Nuance and work with it.
