Hi there,
have a solution where I am using a Tandberg C20.
I have a requirement where I need to install a plate below a monitor (monitor is connected to C20).
What I would like to put on the plate is the following:
1) Female HD15 VGA connection (Laptop video)
2) Female 3.5mm Audio Connection (Laptop Audio)
3) Second female 3.5mm Microphone Connection (for Precision Microphone 20).
My goal is to create an umbilical cord which would run from this plate to a boardroom table apporximately 10 ft away. The umbilical cord would contain a VGA cable, Mini Audio Cable and the precision 20 microphone (with its standard 20ft cable).
The distance between the plate and codec is 6 feet.
My question is in regards to the female connection I need to create for the PRecision microphone 20. Is it possible to get a female 4 conductor 3.5mm connection on a plate? the other end of the plate would terminate into the microphone input at the C20.
I have seen the pinouts on page 11 of the admin guide and I am assuming it can potentially be done.
Has anyone done such an implementation? Any issues with what I am trying to do?
What is the maximum length for the PRecision C20 cable if a custom cabling solution is used.
thanks
Jeevan
