Hi,
I had used C60 for our development to have the video calling and worked it out. I used it add a new layout and modifyin the X and Y positions and shrink it to the centre of the screen by making it overlay on our custom application.

But when i tried the same with C40, it does not support those Video layout command. So how can i ahcive the below in C40

 1xCommand Video Layout Add
 2
3xCommand Video Layout Frame Add LayoutId: "2" Layer: "1" PositionY: "0" VideoSourceId: "2" PositionX: "0" Height: "10000" Width: "10000" Border: "On" VideoSourceType: "localInput"
 4
5xCommand Video Layout Frame Add LayoutId: "2" Layer: "5" PositionY: "300" VideoSourceId: "3" PositionX: "2202" Height: "9379" Width: "2924" FrameId: "2" Border: "Off" VideoSourceType: "localInput"
 6
7xCommand Video Layout Assign OutputId: "1" LayoutId: "1" CallId: "1"
 8
 9xConfiguration Video Layout ScaleToFrame: "StretchToFit"
10
11xConfiguration Video Layout Scaling: "On"

Can some one help me out in getting this work.

Thanks,
JK

Hi Jayakrishnan

This will not work on a Cisco C40 as it does not support custom  layouts.

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

Please could you elaborate on this a little bit... just for my knowledge.

The admin guide states that TC Console/Video compositor is available for C90, C60 and C40(with limited functionality)

What is the functionality on TC Console for the C40 exactly? I am looking to simply switch a presenation that is displaying on a LCD to display on a projector... Is this not possible at all with TC 4.1 and TC Console?

Two monitors... Is it impossible to switch these images?

Hi,

The "limited functionality" for C40 is that you can connect to the unit and see the available views.
You will only be able to change to the pre-designed views, but it is not possible to make your own custom.

By the way, you will be able to changed the audio configuration.
It is the video configuration that you cannot changed.
so, in conclusion:
Audio: you may do custom configuration
Video: Only select the once that are already available.

Hi
As stated before, it is not possible on the C40. Please refer to the API guide too see the commands to create and modify layouts for the C60 and C90s. C40 can only select one of the predefined layouts.

I have the same request switch from one screen to another one... will it be possible at some time to have extended TC Console possibilities on C40? Is it in the pipe? Or it will never be done?

Hi
There are no plans to change the possibilities for the C40 in TC Console.
