Created by: Benjamin Isak on 19-11-2009 11:06:14 AM Hi There,
we got a problem with the C90-API! We want to add various Video Layouts, Frames etc. from a Crestron Touchpanel! This works every first time, cause every first time starting the codec, we know all IDs, (CallId 1, LayoutId 1 ...) The IDs are incremented each time one a add a Layout, Frame etc and every CallId is incemented too.
So if the first call has ended and a second call is active our Crestron dont know the new actual ID (CallId: 2) and couldn`t add a layout to it!
My question is, if there`s a way to add a layout to the actual call without knowing its Id or adding a frame to a layout which Id is also unknown?
The crestron holds the command in serial I/O modules. There are stored the commands like "xCommand Video Layout Add" and so on. Those modules will be triggered if one is pushing the related button on the touchpanel, to show the layout on the screen.
I hope it`s clear what`s our problem
Kind regards, Benjamin

I urge you to download the latest Crestron module from this site and look at the examples I have provided there. This show you how we do it. The layout parts and call control are written in SIMPL+. Look at the module called "Tandberg C90 + C60 Call Control v1.3.usp" This has an analog output array called CallStatus_CallId and a digital array called CallStatus_IsConnected. Use the CallStatus_IsConnected as a trigger for when to send a layout to a remote site and use the value in CallStatus_CallId as the call Id.
We know that handling dynamic id's like this can be a challenge on Crestron (and AMX Netlinx) but we do hope we have provided modules that show how this can be done easily. We are also looking at being able to assign layouts to calls without knowing the id's but we don't have that yet.
Hope this helps, Regards David

thank you for your quick answer! I`ll check the call-control-module.
