Hi all,

Hoping to pinpoint a problem I've been having with my C40's: anyone experience this --

The system has two Cisco cameras on either side of the room, both with IR sensors.

When I use the Remote Control for anything -- menu+scrolling, dialing a number, etc -- I can push a button once and the codec responds be repeating that command.

For example, if I bring up the C40's menu and tap the down button once, the on screen cursor continues to scroll.
Another example, if I bring up the dial screen, and push "7", 7 will repeat (77777777777777777777).

Seems to mostly, maybe entirely, happen when I point the R/C @ the camera across the room. I have much more success pointing @ the closer R/C.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Explanations? What creates IR repetition?

Hi Ruben

Probably both cameras are picking up your IR commands and sends them to the codec. You should select one camera as the IR receiver.
xconf // ir
*c xConfiguration Cameras Camera 1 IrSensor: On
*c xConfiguration Cameras Camera 2 IrSensor: On
*c xConfiguration Cameras Camera 3 IrSensor: On
*c xConfiguration Cameras Camera 4 IrSensor: On
*c xConfiguration Cameras Camera 5 IrSensor: On
*c xConfiguration Cameras Camera 6 IrSensor: On
*c xConfiguration Cameras Camera 7 IrSensor: On
*c xConfiguration SystemUnit IrSensor: Auto
** end
As you can see, the default value is On for all cameras. You should identify which camera you want to use as the IrSensor and then turn the other on off. If you turn off on all cameras, the IrSensor on the codec will be activated (this is indicated by Auto - turned off if no cameras are detected with IrSensor enabled)
