I get:

Exception received
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.lang.RuntimeException: org.apache.http conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connection to https://10.150.0.47:443 refused

I have no problem connectung using TC console to a C40 that is also on my netwrk.

Any ideas?

Andy

Hi Andy,

are you able to access https://10.150.0.47:443 directly using your web browser? If not
you could try to set the following configurations, reboot the codec and check if TC Console works

1xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTP Mode: On
2xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTPS Mode: Off

Hi Viggo:

Thanks for the reply.

-the C40 is running TC4.0.1.240265; C60 is running TC4.1.0.247017

-I can't connect to the C60 using https, though it is ON in web config pages

I tried changing the HTTP/HTTPS configuration settings on the C60:
They were set at:
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTP Mode: On
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTPS Mode: On

I tried changing to:
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTP Mode: Off
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTPS Mode: On
And rebooting

As well as to:
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTP Mode: On
*c xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTPS Mode: Off
And rebooting

And in both cases, I can’t connect via https, with or without the ":443"

I also realized that the unit had no password set, so I set the adminpassword back to the default, and tried again-still no https connection.

Finally, I am having inconsistent results using the CLI commands; I have always been able to use abbreviations of the commands as long as they are long enough to be unique-for instance, "xconf networks" instead of "xConfiguration NetworkServices", but they only work "some of the time" on this unit. Don’t know if it is related.

We had the same problem with C90 and TС 4.0.4, 4.1.0 & 4.1.1

using https,  web config pages is ON

If someone did connect , please let me know how it was done.

Hi Maxim,

This could be the case of the unit is not able to generate a HTTPS certificate. We have seen this with others. The unit needs a system name to generate the certificate, so the workaround will be to configure the system name: xConfiguration SystemUnit Name: <name>
and then reboot the codec.

The system will now generate the certificate and you will be able to connect.

Best regards
Roger

It "got better" after I upgraded the software to the same 4.1.x version it was already running, and let the codec sit for about a week.

It still has no "system name" set.

Ran into the same issue about 5 minutes ago with some new SX80s.  Thanks for the HTTPS comment.  Simple fix.
