CME: Cisco Jabber Support for Android Devices

I notice that there have been many posts about this topic. Some people say it is possible other say is not supported, so I just want to provide my feedback as a Cisco TAC Engineer from the CME team

Here is the CME feature roadmap, this is a public document:

As you can see, up to CME 9.5 Jabber for Andriod is not listed on the Roadmap. In fact, there is a documentation bug opened:

CSCty42599: CME 9.0 doesn't support Cisco Jabber for Android.

Now, there are many documents online explaining how to make the Jabber client for Andriod to work, but remember, this is a feauture not yet supported on CME, so you are on your own when trying this.

Update:

CME 10 has been releases and not yet supports Android.

Hi Jorge,

In the below document it seemed to suggest otherwise?  Which one is correct?  Are you able to confirm?

Interesting, a similar mistake caused the documentation bug CSCty42599. Now, I'll have to check again, since Jabber for Android is still not listed on the Feature Roadmap. I'll take a look and if neccesary update the post accordingly.

Confirmed, CME 9.5 does NOT support Jabber for Android. The documentation needs to be corrected.

Thank you Jorge for chasing this one up.  Interesting Jabber for Android is still not listed for CME 10.0 but there's Jabber for Windows.
