I'm putting together a simple room system with a C60, two PrecisionHD 1080p cameras (front and rear) and the client has requested that we have two PC inputs at the table (the system was originally designed with a single PC input). There is no third party controller, so the users will have only the TRC-5 to control the system. In the spirit of keeping things as simple as possible, I've come up with three possible options for making this happen, but I'm not sure which will work better (or at all):

1. Using the softbuttons on the remote: one would set input 2 as the second camera, another would set input 2 as a presentation source.

2. If there is no active call, input 2 would be a presentation source. If there is an active call, input 2 would be the second camera.

3. The PC sources are connected to an external 2x1 DVI switch, which is in turn connected to input DVI-I 3. The cameras are connected to inputs HDMI-1 and HDMI-2, and either the COM port or the GPIO of the codec is connected to the 2x1 switch. Two soft buttons select between the two PC sources.

Any thoughts or other ideas on the subject would be very much appreciated.

Hi
Richard
We have just gone live o 3 systems for a hospital and they have requested exactly what you have asked here.
Is there any update on this as I am surprised there has been no answer??

Thanks

Hi Richard,

And sorry for late reply, I'm not sure if I fully understand the scenario. Reading your second question, it sounds like you don't need to use soft buttons at all:

Richard Gold:

2. If there is no active call, input 2 would be a presentation source. If there is an active call, input 2 would be the second camera.

This can be obtained using TC-Console, available here http://developer.tandberg.com/web/guest/tools/integrators/tc-console

The softbuttons can only be used to select input sources, camera presets or speed dials. TC-console must be used if you want to change layout composting and behavior.

Cheers,

Jonas
